Address

51 Irving Place, but the entrance is on 17th.
Look for a bar called Martiny's; immediately to the right is a courtyard down a few stairs. That is 51 Irving Place.

Exterior Gate Code

To enter the courtyard, please use hit Lock Release on the box to the right of the gate, then enter code 41255. Walk down a few stairs into the unlocked first door on the right.

Building Lobby Code

To enter the building, please use code KEY SYMBOL > 4125 > KEY SYMBOL.

Apartment Access

Take the elevator to the 5th Floor, take a right out of the elevator to 5K. Lockbox is on the door, code is 780. When you leave, please lock the door and put the lockbox back with the key inside.

  • The building takes it seriously. Please separate out your plastics and cardboard from the garbage. There is a plastic bin in the cabinet under the utensils; please use it for plastic and paper. If it fills up before you leave, you can take it down to the recycling area directly across from the front door in the courtyard. The building is very particular about recycling and will fine me if it is not done correctly. It’s emptied on Tuesdays.

  • There is a garbage shoot in the hall to the right of the elevator.

  • If you don't mind, please place all soiled linens and towels in the laundry basket on the floor to the left of the windows so my cleaner knows what’s been used.

    If possible please take any perishable food with you on your departure as well as empty the trash.

    When you leave, please lock the door and replace the key in the lock box, scramble, and replace on door handle.

  • Washers and dryers are in the basement and are easy and fast to use; they require downloading the app on your phone — all instructions on what to do are by the machines. Detergent is in the cupboard to the left of the mirrored closet.

  • Feel free to login to any of your apps.

  • Please do not use, it’s not a working fireplace.

  • When ordering an Uber/Lyft, the best address to use so the car is directed closer to the front gate is 121 E. 17th Street.

  • Honestly, I don’t even know where to start…there are so many good places around!  Maybe I’ll just start with coffee, because we all need that to get moving and explore on your own!

    Coffee

    • Irving Farm (around the corner on Irving Place, 1.5 blocks headed North on the right)

    • Blue Bottle (Park Avenue South between 20/21)

    • Caffe Panna (corner of Irving Place and 19th; but doesn’t open til 11 am so not great for AM fix)

    • Daily Provisions (good coffee, but also takeaway foods; 103 E. 19th)

    Restaurants

    I’ll share a few restaurants within close proximity; Do not let that imply for one moment that you shouldn’t venture further!

    • Yama Sushi (Literally across the street on 17th. Don’t let the interiors fool you; it’s some of the best sushi in NYC)

    • Friend of a Farmer (Up on Irving; prepare to wait in line for brunch)

    • Casa Mono (Literally outside your window. Great Spanish small plates)

    • Bar Jamon (Next to Casa Mono; tiny wine bar)

    • Union Square Café (19th/Park Avenue South. The original Danny Meyer spot in the non-original location)

    Cocktail Bars

    • Dear Irving (The only one you need to know; right around the corner on Irving Place. No sign. It’s cool like that 😉)

    Grocery Stores

    Below are a few standards, or you could also just hit up the amazing Union Square Greenmarket on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays.

    • Whole Foods (Union Square)

    • Westside Market (3rd Avenue between 17/16th)

    • Trader Joes  (142 E. 14th St.)
